Beers of the World magazine recently held its award ceremony for its annual World Beer Awards at the Hurlingham Club in West London. Lovibonds Brewery based in Henley-on-Thames was awarded Worlds Best Honey Beer for its 7.3% Lovibonds Gold Reserve.

Olympic Rowers Reach for Henley Gold |

On Saturday the people of Henley-on-Thames welcomed their Olympic heroes back from Beijing. Henley is home to Leander Club, the most successful rowing club in the world and their rowers didn’t fail to disappoint this year. Of the 15 Leander rowers taking part in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, 13 came home with medals.

A buzzing crowd welcomed special guest Boris Johnson last Friday to the official opening of Lovibonds Brewery in Henley-on-Thames. Guests were treated to a lunch of Lovibonds beer and hot chili made using their Bavarian style wheat beer, Henley Gold.
